Re: acoustic effects pedal

Surprisingly, the Wampler ThirtySomething has EQ curves where you can get into acoustic territory very well. Also turns piezo pickups into a natural acoustic sound when set right.

But try whatever you are going to buy with your own guitar before buying. I don't know what will work with your strat that I've never heard.

I know Fishman has their Aura series of pedals, and you can get a pedal that loads IRs (Impusle Responses) of actual acoustic guitars. Another option is the Graphtech Ghost piezo system, which works very well, too.

I was gonna say - You can't go right with a Boss AC pedal...

First - lets discuss exactly 'how' acoustic you want to be...what is the purpose here?

Re: acoustic effects pedal

Whenever I've tried acoustic simulators, it's always seemed like the pedal mimics the most superficial aspects of an acoustic guitar's sound. The body of the guitar and the resonance of the strings don't come through.

That's my thinking as well.... definitely need an answer to this question.

I agree, it seems like an EQ with a "scooped" curve, compressor and light Reverb comes close to what a lot of the simulators do.

hi, guys
at the moment i only play at home, some songs i play have acoustic guitar parts eg: (stairway to heaven) at the moment only play acoustic parts using my strat on a clean sound, just thinking a GOOD acoustic pedal would really help,
