Acoustic Pickup Rig Job

K so I got an older import Fender acoustic that for whatever reason plays and sounds good,not great,but better than my acoustic/electric.
Anyways I don't have money to dump into my acoustic gear as I don't do a whole lot of acoustic live.So I'm wondering.............I got a plastic bobbin fender Alnico 5 strat pickup layin around.If I were to mount it to the guitar and mount a pot on the guitar I have few questions. What about Microphonics?? Feedback?? Best location for pickup?? What valve pot would suite this cob job best?? :scratchch

jam it up against the neck and use a 250k pot. see what happens and take it from there
