Re: Acoustic Pickup Survey (win free gear)

Done, hope i win cause i need a acoustic pickup for recording

Re: Acoustic Pickup Survey (win free gear)

Done also. If I win, I'll likely give the pickup to my brother, since I have a K&K Mini in my acoustic guitar and have no intentions of replacing it with anything else!

Re: Acoustic Pickup Survey (win free gear)

Responded. I only use L.R.Baggs. If my name were to be drawn, my recording project collaborator needs a transducer in his early Eighties Yamaha FG-412.

Re: Acoustic Pickup Survey (win free gear)

I responded. I have three sets of K&K's Pure Minis in three of my acoustics and a fourth set waiting for me to install in my Blueridge BR 183A.

My favorite DI/Preamp is the RedEye, using the XLR output straight into the PA.

I don't use any effects other than a little reverb that the sound person supplies.

The best pickups I have heard so far is the Trance Amulet pickup system that Jackson Browne uses.

But I had already committed to K&K when I started seeing the Trance Amulet system.

The K&K's are wonderful pickups too.

Best soundhole pickup I'm aware of is the Sunrise. But it's heavy.

Next best are some of the Duncans.

The Baggs M1 soun hole pickup I had didn't work out. Sounded clanky. I was hoping it would work for slide but I finally gave up and sold it.

Doug Young has excellent sound samples and reviews on his website. Maybe the best place to go to read acoustic pickup reviews and listen. Great player too.

Cool survey and glad to see SD reaching out to the acoustic guys!

I really like the Bill Lawrence A300, have loved it in my Dreadnoughts. I haven't tried the Mag Mic but have only heard great things about it. I really like the Woody–thought it sounded best in Taylor Acoustics.

Re: Acoustic Pickup Survey (win free gear)

Wouldn't mind upgrading my Yamaha 12st. I have a Woody in it now.

My Yamaha CGX171 Classical has a Piezo/condenser system and that thing is bad@$$

I just saw that the poll closed a couple days ago. Oh well. I'm digging my Fishman Rare Earth.
