Acquiring an Iron Maiden-type tone

I think that the Fender Strat w/Hot Rails is obvious, but what kinds of amps/pedals would replicate that type of tone?

i think, im not sure, but i think maiden use jmp-1 preamps, with marshall poweramps.

yep, jmp-1 preamps and marshall 9200 power amps

you can nail the maiden type sound with almost anything really.. you just have to get the playing style right.

a JB or super distortion equiped guitar will get you there. a JCM800 will get you to 80% of their tone, the rest has to come from you.

Its in the playing man...a high gain amp with decent tone plus some maiden style playing abilities.
