Active pickup to replace an EMG 85-7X in my Schecter Loomis

Hey all

Back again asking for pickup advice :P This time it's my Schecter Loomis 7. I replaced the stock 707's with and 85-7X and a 60-7X.
Now I barely use the neck pickup on that guitar anyway, and the bridge pickup is not as tight as I'd like. I mean I'm that guy who hates using any kind of overdrive for tightness, because that kind of ULTRA tight super saturated djent tone just sounds...unpleasant to me.

I need something significantly tighter than the 85-7X, without an overbearing top end that sounds shrill and harsh.

I am being drawn towards the EMTY Blackout as of now. Should I be considering the Retribution or the Loomis Blackout? The EQ curves of the Loomis Blackouts and Retribution kind of scare me a little, they look like they're all low end and lower mids, and isn't that like bad news bears for drop A tuning?

Thanks folks.

Hmm....I don't quite enjoy what I perceive to be fizz in those clips...

I went from being an EMG 85/707/808 to the Regular Blackouts and was very happy with them. If you're into an uber-tight rhythm type pickup the EMTY's would definitely be up your alley. They were a little too tight for my liking but they were pretty cool. The Retributions I absolutely love. A bit tamed with output and have a nice growl to them. I don't find them overly bass-y. Can't comment on the Loomis yet as I am just waiting for a set to arrive to put in my RGD.

You looked into Fishman pickups?
