AD30HTC vs Rocker30H

Hi Folks,

i'm gasing for a second amp as alternative to my twin head clone.
i always wanted to have an orange and can't decide between ad30 and rocker.
both nearly cost the same over here (the plus of the ad30 for me is, that it's
available in black *g*).
To be honest a never had the chance for an a/b comparison. I'd like to go
for the classic orange tone. versatiliy within the expected range is a plus.
the ad would be more vintage oriented, but has a rather untypical power
tube setup for orange, what is making me hesitate.
the rocker seems to be slightly more modern oriented, but slightly boxy as
well. the rv50 is out of range.
i don't really care for the fact that the rockers cleans have no tone control.
due to both are afaik manufactured in uk, i guess there won't be any
issues in terms of durability for both of them.

Any hint which helps deciding (issues, versatility, perhaps amp typical sound
/vidsamples or descriptions) are apreciated.
or simple; which one would you choose and why?

nearly. i tend slightly more to the ad.
any en/discourage on buying one of the amps?

The AD30s are great sounding amps. Not much too much gain on tap but man they can do an old and wooley sound in spades. Really nice n' chimey cleans to boot also.

I think the Rocker 30 sounds a lil' bit too honky.

I've played the Rockerverb and the cleans were gorgeous and had awesome natural break up when the volume got up to about 3 o clock on the clean channel. Also, the dirt channel had some serious gain(darker orange gain of course :D) and a really usable master volume. Never played the AD series though, does anyone know how much clean headroom does the AD30s have?

Rocker 30 is nice for classic rock and hard rock, but not so much for alternative rock. Depends on what music you play. It has dark and thick tone. It does not have chime like a Vox does or the upper-mid thing like Marshall does. The clean channel is also pretty dull. It sounds good for what it is, but it doesn't have that Fender clarity or Vox chime if that's what you hear when you think of clean. Not even close. It's just a dark amp. You gain thickness, but you lose chime.
