Hey guys, i was read that if you add a chrome cover to the neck pup, and leave the bridge pup open, it colors or alters your tone. In any case, can someone explain to me what this does? Because i know that Page and Tremonti do this. Thanks

It's always been my understanding that a cover takes a little off your high end, darkening your tone a small amount. This could be beneficial if your neck seems too "trebly". I might be wrong though...hopefully one of the vintage guys will give a more informed answer.
Forum Etiquette (Searching before posting, posting a thread once instead of 3-4 x, in different, partly inapproprate forums to boot) seems to be lacking more and more these last few weeks...
