Adjustable Pole Pieces for Firebird Pickups?

I have a Gibson Firebird Pickup that I like alot, but the high E string, is weak. I keep wanting to adjust the pole piece, but of course I can't. Can a Firebird pickup be made with adjustable pickups? I would guess that the Duncan custom shop could make one, but would the tone still be the same? Thanks, Rusty.

If I'm not mistaken (and I may well be), Firebird pickups have rails in them rather than individual pole pieces, though I don't know how much of a difference tonally screws would be from the rails. Chances are, the custom shop could do what you wanted though. Alternatively, have you tried just raising the whole treble side of the pickup with the mounting screw?

Yep, I am raising the treble side already. Didn't think about them being rails.

Check out the Antiquity Mini Humbucker. It has adjustable pole pieces.
