Advice on putting P-Rails into a PRS SE

I am nearly dead set on putting P-Rails into a PRS SE using a triple shot to switch between the pickups. What I don't understand, having never installed pickups before, is how (or whether) I can also create a switch to change the pickups from parallel to series when in Humbucker mode using my tone and volume knobs (the SE has only one volume and one tone). I was hoping someone here could be kind enough to provide some advice. I really want to be able to switch as the specs make it seem as if there would be a noticeable difference given how hot these pickups are.

By the way, this is my first post but I have been lurking for a while.

Easiest way is to take it to a tech.

I know you don't want to hear that. But if this is your first time doing that, it might get a lil more difficult. See if you can get the wirign schemes from a LTD PB 500. They use P Rails and have a switch that flips it from parallel to single to humbucker etc.

I agree, but the small town I currently live has only two techs that I know of and I am starting to think one is shady while the other one has a wait list of several weeks to get work done and his prices are well above prices I have seen to the norm elsewhere.

This would be more expensive but buy a LTD PB500 lol the work is already done and its a hell of a guitar. Then you have 2 solid gigging guitars

Welcome! You can do it with this diagram:

If you haven't seen the Triple Shot switching mounting rings, check them out. This diagram basically duplicates the Triple Shot functionality, but ganging both pickups up on the same switches. You might find it easier to install the pickups in Triple Shot rings, if you're doing this yourself.

I bookmarked it. Thanks for the diagram.
