I spent the better part of 7 hours exchanging a pickup, buying pickups, driving, installing, completely re-wiring 6 times due to cold solder joints, and re-stringing.
But I'm finally done!!!
Invader bridge, duncan design scorcher middle, and stock A2 single coil in the neck.
Great pickups lol. I would have never imagined the invader to be a toneful pickup but it's gritty and ballsy as hell and sounds great for leads with the tone rolled off. It has enough output to eat other pickups alive even when split. And I hardly need to turn up the gain on my amp lol.
The scorcher comes in at 10.7k output and sounds great for blusey stuff, sounds even better when blended with the invader. Hey it was only $10 after I bitched out guitar center for giving me a bad pickup. :laugh2:
So now I finally have my dream setup of HHS and I couldn't be happier, although that could just be the alcohol talking; if it wasn't for that I probably would have killed someone hours ago. :27:
Thanks artie for the wiring advice in the other thread, I did what you said this time around and it runs dead silent now.
