Agile Ps-900 Pickups (Match for my PG Neck)

Hey guys,

So I've decided to finally get rid of the JB in the bridge of my Agile PS-900 (PRS copy). I find it too thin and "ice-picky" as other members have described it. It only sounds good to me when i have the gain at the max and doing hard rock/metal solos.

I currently have a Pearly Gates in the neck and I love it. It is the ideal tone to my ears. Crystal clear, fat, just plain satisfying. I want something in the bridge to match its style. I like playing blues, classic rock, occasionally I crank the gain to the max but thats not the norm.. I'd like the bridge pickup to be buttery with good bass and warm highs..ZZ top, lynyrd skynyrd like.

I'm looking at other members' comments on the Custom Custom (the common match to the PG neck), Custom, and Pearly Gates bridge but it's so subjective and relative to the particular guitar's woods that it just gets hard to choose.. Can anyone help me out? I'd really appreciate it. I lost faith in the Seymour Duncan audio clips because the JB there doesn't really sound like what mine sounds like...

My guitar's specs:

-Maple Top on a solid Mahogany archtop body
-24 jumbo fret Maple neck
-Rosewood fretboard
-500k pots

Thanks in advance! :)

I believe I had a Custom in my PS-900. The Custom 5 and Custom 8 would also work well if you want to avoid a ceramic.

+1. I think both of those would probably work better in his guitar than a CC, which is often pretty dark in mahogany. But since they're all the same coils, a mag swap will dial it in.

So i just installed it.

First impressions:

The highs are noticeably warmer, easier on the ears. its seems to be more balanced than the jb with more bass as well. Im happy with the swap. Thanks again!
