ahb3 bridge in a passive

Hi there folks,

Long-time duncan user first time poster, need a bridge pup recommendation. I play metal on the thrashy side with a prs sc245 into a peavey jsx head, recently have decided to change my pickups back to passives. I was using AHB3s but got tired of changing batteries.

Currently have a jazz in the neck and a jb in the bridge. Love the jazz tho cooler than ahb3 neck, but jb leaves a bit to be desired. Funky mid range, squishy bass, sharp top, doesn't sound bad but not where i want it to be lead/rhythm wise. Also finding it doesn't match the jazz output regardless of pickup height. I liked clips of the sh5 custom, any passives resemble ahb3 bridge?

BTW borrowing the jb so swapping mags isn't an option

Any insight is appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!
What kind of tonality do you like from AHB3?
Maybe some experienced users here can help you, even though I'm really sure the only thing that came close to EMTYs is the original Blackouts AHB1. Or maybe EMG 81..
But if I have to go passive,Duncan Distortion or Full Shred might be the solution.
I haven't tried any pickups above beside JB/Jazz combo, probably couldn't be much of help. Keep posting anyway! :)
