Alright people, I have a real case on my hands. I kind of built my own guitar and now I am running into problems getting it to work right. Well, not so much work right, but stop annoying me. It was orginally an 80's cort strat copy that I put a 71' fender neck and custom carvin fully-loaded pickguard. I dropped sperzels on it and it "worked" fine. The problem is not in any of that equipment, but it's in the bridge. It has like rolling saddles and i get a terrible buzzing sound from each saddle when I play. It is a kahler and I don't know what to do. If I don't get help soon I am going to weld the rolling saddles in place to see if that works.

If anyone can help...............................you are one of a kind and very needed.

Re: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

LOL! I had a Kahler whammy in a gtr that I had to tap a couple holes in and lock up w/some screws because it would not return to zero, even after string bending, so I hear ya.

Not familiar w/that bridge, but I would probably be thinking along the same line...however, someone here may have a more sophisticated approach.

What about getting a new bridge? Is there something out there that would just drop into place?

Which pickups did you get in the Carvin pickguard?

Don't weld anything just yet! LOL

Without holding the guitar, I'm guessing that there's not enough downward angle on the rollers, between the nut and ball ends.

Are the saddles fairly low, in order to get the action where you want it?

One solution may be to add a thin wood shim in the neck pocket, then raise all the saddles appropriately. Then, there will be more downward pressure on the rollers because of the steepened angle.
