I'm contemplating changing out the neck for an air norton. Breeds not bad, it fat and smooth but it still has a glassy, sharp pick attack that i don't dig. It also overpowers the bridge in volume.

The air norton is lower in output and pretty smooth and fluid, but I'm wondering how it will pair with the breed in the bridge? I've read here and there that they don't pair very well.

Anyone try air norton/breed bridge combo?

Try lowering the polepieces on the treble strings a little.

Re: air norton + breed = good?

I have tried lowering the entire pickup, but that didn't help much. Will try the polepieces, thx

No reason why they wouldn’t pair well
The air norton is a great pickup, and buttery smooth attack is part of its claim to fame. Give it a shot!

Air Norton is a good neck pickup. I paired one with a Breed Neck in bridge position in a Les Paul Custom.
Neck version of the Breed does quite well as medium-output bridge pickup IMO.

I'm probably gonna mess with the breed more before I pull the trigger on an air norton. Thanks yall!
