Al Genia (Leave the Light On)

Re: Al Genia (Leave the Light On)

I haven't heard the original, but i'll give you my honest opinion.

The guitar should have been miked up\recorded a different way. There is alot of screeching from you moving around the fretboard.

There is some terrible hum in the background, which i think sounds like ground hum?

It should have been a bit less sloppily played, and also a bit more in time.

Anyway, keep in mind that this is just my opinion ;)

well, all i've really got for recording is an external mic and gargeband. and as for my playing, ive been still playing for under a year, but i respect your comment cause its stuff like that i appreciated being pointed out to help make my playing stronger. so thanks for the feedback and i'll work on the timing and such.

Ok ;)... i didn't mean to be harsh on you, but if you took my opinions as constructive critism, i'm happy to help! :)

yeah, i started playing that song with a metronome after i read your comment and compared it to the version i already recorded and notice the improvment on how the song sounded
