Alesis Multimix 16 firewire?

how is it for computer-based digital recording? I'll need a mixer soon too so I'm trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. My other choice was the firebox, but for 100 bucks more, I get a mixer too. they both come with the same software so it can't be that bad, huh?

It's gotten rave reviews on the Gearslutz.com forum - might try a search over there.


*EDIT* Sorry, I meant the IO26/14 series has gotten rave reviews. Those aren't any more expensive, IIRC, either.
