Alex Semple-Thank You

Over the last 6 months or so i have been buying B.C.Riches like they're going out of fashion

I bought a thru neck USA Innovator Bass from the USA and when i set it up i discovered the sound that came from the stock Seymour Duncan ASB-5's was awefull-like a piano-so i discovered Seymour do a add on circuit STC-3a-Tried to buy it in the U.K.=$270,so i eventually found a brand new one on Ebay for $125 inc shipping from the USA

Anyway-fitted it,plugged the bass in-the difference was outstanding-the bass now rumbles along like a tank an awesome solution to my problem-(i was considering the router and different pick up route as the previous sound was awefull)

The problem was no sooner had i fitted it,the back fell off the Blend pot-(more than likely my fault)-i contacted Alex Semple at Seymour Duncan and explained that i bought it from Ebay yet Seymour Duncan STILL sent me a replacement pot at no charge and to the U.K.

I have joined this Forum soley to say THANK YOU Alex Semple and Seymour Duncan for service beyond the call of duty :yourock:

Thanks for the post. You're right, Alex does rock. Literally. He's our super heavy metal tone specialist. Plus he's fluent in Japanese. And, he has a Masters Degree. He's one of our (many) secret weapons.

Well.... I guess the secret is out now.

I'm glad you're keeping down the bottom line with your Basslines-loaded B.C.Rich.

Thanks for the welcome-I'm really grateful to Seymour Duncan and Alex for making the STC-3a and for the back up

You see i almost bought EMG's for the bass as something had obviousley gone wrong with the tone of the bass-but as the ASB-5's are a specific size then i really didn't want to have to take a router to the bass-so it's great that you make the STC-3a-bit of a pain in the butt to wire in and the schematic is not 100% complete but again Alex explained-I had guesed correct before he answered though-i once rewired a 1979 Bich 8 string bass i owned due to wires falling off every time i changed the batteries-i should've drawn a schematic for that as well-but approx 11 hours,a mile of wire and a football pitch length of heatshrink later-i got it perfect

The Innovator is my favorite bass-Sssshhh-Don't tell B.C.Rich especially as i own their Eagle bass they displayed at the winter NAMM show (I've played that about 2 hours in the 2 months i've owned it)and i'm glad you managed to stop me ripping bits of wood out of it
