If anybody listens to Children of Bodom or Sinergy you already know who he is. I know what kind of guitar he plays and I know that it's only got one pickup in it but does anyone know what it is?? I've heard rumor that it's some kind of custom wound SD, does anybody know or know any other rumors?? I'm looking to pick up a project body off of EBay and wanted to know what type of pickup he was running cuz I'd like to have that great metal/lead tone he has. Also planning on tuning down to their level so that we can do some dead on covers of their songs. Anybody have any leads about that pickup lemme know!

I actually talked to Dime about this a few hours ago. He said he plays an ESP Randy Rhoads rip off.

It's in Japanese, but it says his guitar is loaded with one EMGHZ H4.

Custom ESP RR Knock off, 1 bucker, and surprisingly enough, it's an EMG-HZ4. I've looked closely at too many pictures to count, and the script is too long to be an EMG, yet not the cursive Jackson script on his old J-50BC buckers. His sound comes more from his amp though, Lee Jackson Perfect Connection preamp, Peavey Classic poweramp, and as of late, Recto's.

Well go to www.espguitars.net and look at his sig. Randy Rhoads ripoff 24 frets floyd rose and the big shocker :smack: a passive emg hz h-4 humbucker.
But he does have an awesome sound so it can't be all bad

Alot of the 80s shredders loved those Lee Jackson preamps, they were THE preamps for metal.
For just about anything hard nowadays, it's a recto (pretty lame IMHO), but I guess that's just the trend
