Alien shredder - this is NOT me

Re: Alien shredder - this is NOT me

That's pretty impressive... I always wish I can shred with the best like that, but I don't have the patience to work my way up. It must've taken him a long time to work up to that level.

Yeah true Alien status. Some of the stuff sounds good too, something that usually gets lost with too much technique.

Re: Alien shredder - this is NOT me

i dont find shredding all the impressive. there are some of them that yes i do respect and all, but its just not something i want to listen to for 5 minutes straight. id rather listen to some beautiful solo that shows a lot of emotion. i know the saying speed = emotion or hwatever, but thats not always true, and only a handfull of the shredders can truely show emotion through shredding, and this guy i just dont see it.

although dont get me wrong, i do wish i could play that fast!!

While speed and accuracy does impress me, thats not really the reason why I listen to shred. It may seem wierd to you, but I really like shred songs because of the song, I dont find them boring or emotionless.

There are good and bad songs in all types of music. Shred is cool IMO.

Frickin Amazing technique!

For those who found it too "boring" : maybe a bit flashy, but with all those changes and tight modulations, I think it goes beyond your typical mindless shred. I do tend to agree though that an infusion of soul in some sections might help break up the "monotony" if you can call it that. :laugh2:

Insanity!
