hi folks,ive just wired in the slash pickups, as per the seymour duncan diagram that came with them, for single conductors, except i put the capacitor, to the vol center lug (switch hot),and not to the hot lug for the pickups, as in the diagram, does this make it 50s wiring now instead of modern. i didnt do the grounded, braided, bunched up switch wire thing, that you do for a switchcraft switch, because i dont have that switch, just a 3 way euro toggle, does that sound all okay, and give me 50s wiring, what ever it is is the guitar and the pups sound bloody great, a big improvement,on before, i also used 500k log/and linear pots, and a .33uf capacitor, instead of a 22uf or 47uf, to go not too bright or too dark, and the balance sounds excellent, why dont many people use .33uf caps ( Orange drops i used), i think they work well. by the way the guitars a Johnson lp copy, maple veneered, slash afd replica. i did it for my 16 year olds birthday last year, he loves it, and it looks and sounds the business. thanks folks in advance for advice.
