Alnico 2 Pro (neck) with Super Distortion (bridge)?

I have a Michael Kelly Patriot Custom and I'm not fond of the stock Rockfields - they're okay, but a little lifeless. I was thinking of throwing in an A2P in the neck, but wasn't sure about the bridge. I do have a Dimarzio Super Distortion (favorite Dimarzio) laying around and was toying around with the idea of pairing the two, but I'm not sure if they'd mesh well.

Anyone have any experience with this combo before? Sound any good?

Have not tried it myself but someone here (Benjy26 I think) said it works well. May as well give it a shot.

ehhh, I just decided to buy a Pearly Gates for the bridge. I have one in a Squire and it's amazing so I'm anxious on seeing how it'll sound in the Kelly. I just didn't want to bother having to install the Super D and end up not liking it.
