Just put a JB in the bridge of my '88 Les Paul Standard. I am getting some really nice big sounds from it when overdriven. I am liking the JB a lot. My dilemma is this: I would like to pair it with an Alnico 2 pickup in the neck. Can't decide on whether to go with the A2Pro or the PG neck. The JB sounds really good and strong when split, kind of like Tele bridge. So the neck pickup I go with needs to be strong enough to sound good split also, must have sweet clean tones in the Les Paul and also a nice necky sustain when overdriven for bluesy tones. I have never owned an Alnico 2 type pickup, but would like to pair one with my JB for a nice contrast. Help me make the call guys! Thanks.
