Alnico 3 Pearly Gates Neck In A Strat

I started another thread about this in tandem with a UOA5 59/C, but I felt it would be better to start a thread directly focused on the PG. I was wondering what you guys thought of this pickup.

How does it compare to the stock model? How have your experiences with it been in Fenders? Also how would a A4 work in it, that's another option?

Less spongy, little less output, more air and chime. Nice highs, present mids and nice not boomy low end.

I write based on my experience with Alnico 3 in my seth lover.

I would say go for it, but I just love A3 mags, so I may be a little biased

Will an Alnico 3 on a 335 type be warmer , fatter than a 59 ?

Kind of like an overwound 59 might sound ?

A3 is the weakest magnet, so no chance.

In fact the magnet strength plays only a small part. Such that any of the A2-5 style really only make eq changes as such, not output.
