ive head good things about putting an alnico 8 in a duncan distortion. im planning on buying the magnet to do the swap, what can i expect it to sound like after the mod?

Probably something midway between a Distortion and JB.

Make sure you report back with a review, because I'm sure there's a lot of people wanting to know about the Distortion 8. It's probably hotter than I'd like, but it could turn out to be a great pickup for extreme metal tones.

You can expect a JB with more power , more low mids , and less bright on top .
Like a sweeter Distortion , I don't know actually , alnico 8 is a dangerous magnet !
