alnico pro II

im looking for something with a colorful tone, yet is has balls.
would a alnico pro 2 give my bc rich nj warlock great cleans along with that dirty classic rock lead sound in my bridge?

i'm asking this cause idk of many bc rich guitars with alnico II pro pups in em'... i wanna make sure that it wont sound too brittle or something.

It won't be brittle, but it will be lower in output than most humbuckers out there. Keeping this in mind, you might want to go with either a PG, or even a CC for more output while keeping a smooth, somewhat vintage style tone.

I've got a Pro II in the bridge of my Washburn WP-50 and it's great for classic rock ala Led Zep and the like. Quite a lot of sweet body tone with a clear top end, but it doesn't have the output of most other mofern pups.

but how is the alnico pro II on palm muting? Could i get zakk wylde harmomics and crunch?

and is the CC basically a higher output APH?

I don't think that the APH will do Wylde, but it will still crunch pretty well.

The CC is not a higher output APH, but the APHn/CC combo does work out very well.
