Alnico V switch

So quick story and then question for those more well versed in Pickup Technology:

I was talking with a jazz guitarist, John Stowell (bleeping brilliant!) about his guitars and his sound, and comparing pickups. As you may or may not know, I love the Alnico 2 Pro in the neck, and he liked it too. But it turns out he gets a very hollowbody-esque tone from his solidbody traveler guitar with a DiMarzio Air NOrton in the neck. Who knew? Which got me thinking,

What would an Alnico 2 pro sound like if installed with an Alnico V magnet? Has anyone tried this, or swapping an Alnico 2 magnet for Alnico V in general? What would you guess the change would be like in terms of tone?

Re: Alnico V switch

in general, people who have tried a5 in an aIIpro liked the results saying there was more clarity and tighter lows.
