Alpha / Omega - Is it possible to install pickup covers?

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. Is it possible to install pickup covers on the Alpha/Omega pickups? The pack plates look like they are coated with something to make them black and am wondering if that would take solder. There also seems to be a substantial amount of what appears to be tape/netting around them and am unclear if a Seymour cover would fit without any issues.

Seems like you just need to use a grinder or dremel tool where you want to solder the pickup cover on. Aren’t most covered pickups potted so they don’t become microphonic though?
