Alright experts...need a STP/Oasis/Alternative bridge humbucker for a strat

The open sound those guys have. More STP than Oasis, but Oasis is a good reference too.

Alder strat with maple board. Has a trem. 250k pots with the "Delta Tone" thing on the bridge and middle pickups.

What do you think?

considered a JB?

As far as STP are concerned, it's a stock LP. From this pic (hard to read), it says Duncan JB in the doublenecks.

Willy.

or a gretsch or any of the other guitars and amps dean and rob have used.

maybe not a JB for the 'open' sound though, in all fairness...
probably more like a PAF.

JB is the one (only one) I have tried. It's too compressed for my liking. Doesn't sound bad...it's just too compressed.

in that case, i don't think you'll want anything hotter than a distortion neck pickup (in the bridge).
IMO the custom wind would still be too compressed, you could try an A2 mag in one though...

i've not tried a 59b, but that's where i'd start in your sitch, satch
