So, I've learned I love the tone of a good LP over any other axe, but, IMO, they suk donkey balls when you play anything over the 12th fret. It's definitely do-able to play stuff over the 12th fret, but it's a major PITA (if you don't know the acronym, pm me).
So, I'm thinking of getting a carvin cs6 in blackburst with a quilt top, giant frets, zero neck heal and with some metal pups.I love the look/feel/tone of LP's, but I hate the playability of LP's. I cannot get down with the fat necks of Gibbos. What should I be looking for? I have very short/thin fingers that prefer Gibbo scales.
I already know the amswer to this, but, I'm not sure. I'd love to have a 7 or 8 string axe with a 25in scale on the top 5 strings. I'd like a 27in scale, but only for the bottom strings.
