Aluminium pickguard to my strat

Hi!
Before I had aluminium pickguard and two humbuckers in my strat. I didn't need neck pickup and I did new plastic pickguard with one humbucker.
Now it seems to me that the plastic pickguard made the sound worse. Sound a bit more muffled.
I want will do new aluminium pickguard, because it can not be ferromagnetic.
Aluminium were stain my fingers. I wonder can I paint aluminium pickguard?
I would like to paint polished aluminum

I don't know how pickguard material can change the sound, but paint probably won't look so good on that and probably won't last very long. They do make aluminum in different colors, so maybe whatever color they use might prevent your fingers from staining. They also make stainless steel pickguards, too.

Chem film and powder coat. Type 1 chem film is better for paint adhesion than type II. Look at paint colors from Cardinal as they are the most prevalent.

Try playing the guitar without the pickguard.
I feel that it sounds better and the body vibrates harder

Perhaps, but really, how is that possible plugged in? I'd say just get a rear-routed body then. I think even with a metal pickguard, it won't sound like it does without a pickguard altogether.

If you think there’s a difference with a plastic pickguard, there IS a difference with an aluminum pickguard.

The pickguard change did not muffle your tone.

You can paint, or print on, aluminum with many paints or inks.

Fender used aluminum pickguards on some models in the '50's. They were brushed, then anodized with a gold colored coating, then clear coated with lacquer. Both the lacquer and the anodized coating get worn off over time. A more modern clear coat material, such as polyurethane or resin, would last longer.
