Amp/Electronics Guys...Is This Possible?

Would it be possible to wire a jack to my little 15watt Crate that would allow me to plug directly into the powermap, bypassing that POS preamp? I'd like to run my V-Amp2 flat into it, and had this idea last night.

I don't know if it's possible, but even if it is, I'm not sure it's worth spending the money on a 15 watt Crate amp. I'm not sure which Crate amp you have, but if your tone controls are flat and the volume is set for a clean signal, you should be accomplishing the same end result.

Have you tried having gain, bass and treble at 0 and middle at 10?

More than likely, its both possible, and not too difficult. But you, (or I), would need a schematic to do it right.

What exact model number is it?

It's the MX15R...I've tried running it flat, and while it sounds alright, the V-amp still sounds better through headphones. I'll try the mids at 10 bass/treb/gain at zero thing, though.

I suspect the POS speaker doesn't help. Most little practice amps have lousy speakers.
