ok, I have a Crate solid state crate 2x12 combo. And, it's been a pretty good amp for the money. Fair distortion.. fair everything, it's done what I've needed it to do. At low volumes anyway. Lately, however, I've been *trying* to use it at higher volumes, like loud enough for an audience.. but whenever it goes past 4.. i get this weird hissing sound. It sounds kinda like a fake ocean sound effect. It does this both with and without the guitar plugged in. It's not *amazingly* loud, but it's loud enough to annoy me. Any ideas on what is causing it and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
