This amp has models for everything from boutique and tweed cleans to high gain models, with some really great vintage models for a great classic rock tone. It has just about any effect you would want and they all sound quite nice.
Build Quality: this amp is as solid as a rock, very gigable. it has metal covered corners and every knob and jack is built so it feels strong and you dont have to be afraid of breaking it. it can definately withstand alot of abuse
Sound Quality: WOW this amp has great tones. ive compared it to the spider 2 series, vox valvetronix and roland cubes and i think the replitone beats them all. Most modeling amps are either have great cleans or great distortion, this has both. Its all about how you tweak it. The tweed, plexi and ac30 models are all really great for blues and vintage rock. With the higher gain models i can get a close to perfect van halen tone that really screams for solos. set to the thrash setting and with some tweaking ive got instant metallica and ozzy tones. The sound is really great on this amp
Reliability: Ive only had this amp for 2 weeks or so, so i dont know how it will do in the long run but my estimate is that it will perform as well as it does now in 5 years. Its a solid state ( sorry for not mentioning that earlier) so it doesnt need maintanence. I would definately gig with this amp, even without a footswtich! Im not afraid of it cutting out or having any random issues. its also very light ( around 70 lbs) for how much power it has.
Overall: This amp is no mesa rectifier or marshall plexi but it cost me $400 instead of $4000. it has better build quality and sound any modeling amp ive tried. it has tons of effects and soaring lead tones. Anyone considering a new amp should give the rocktron replitones a shot.
