Re: Amplifier Guitar

if you have a computer, then maybe a modeler and interface is your best bet; that way you can record which may be a greater benefit

Re: Amplifier Guitar

You know what? From the way I read your post, you seem like someone that's just starting with electric guitar amps. From your list, my guess is also that you don't have a lot of money to invest in an amp at the moment.

Asking seasoned and/or very opinionated players on the internet is only gonna return a lot of "none of those are good...get more money and buy x, y, z, tube amp, blah blah blah".

The fact is: if you're starting and just want something to make noise and learn, any of the amps you mentioned will be good and chasing a more expensive/better sounding used amp isn't gonna be good for you (how will you know if you're getting jipped? What to look for in a used amp? etc.).

In this case, the amps you mentioned are inexpensive and can all be fun to play even if they don't sound like any dream amp most guys on forums own or want.

Therefore, my suggestion is: Just walk in a music store (provided there's one where you live), grab a guitar and play through any and every amp that fits your budget and pick the one you like best.

I'm not sure many folks around here bought killer amps as their first when they didn't know any better (I know I didn't) and the fact of the matter is, not everybody who wants an amp has tons of dough to blow on one either. There's also the fact that not everybody who starts playing electric ends-up as a gear junky.

Just pick something you like that you can try thoroughly and afford. Then have fun.

In a few months/years, buy something better if you need it.

We've all gotta start somewhere and overthinking this might not be as good as some think.

Just my 2cents.

I wholeheartedly agree with Surgeon if his initial assumptions are correct (which they seem to be to me as well).

Re: Amplifier Guitar

If you can bump the frontman up to a 25r, those are very good bang for the buck. Of the list, I'd suggest the mustang. Or find a used peavey bandit.

3. Line 6 Spider IV 15 15-watt 1x8 Modeling Guitar Amplifier

I have a practice amp in every room where I hang out at home, and that Spider IV 8" combo is one of them. It's pretty much the beginner amp I wish I'd started out with twenty-three years ago.
