AMT Electronics pedals (user oppinions)

I am impressed with a few models

1) Astral tube
2) California sound
3) Du hast
4) British sound


Just curious as to oppinions from people who actually own these or other AMT pedals.

My friend has the Fatal Tube and California sound. They are solidly built and sound pretty good on stage too.They also have cab emulators built in, and you can use it for DI. As far as features, price and build quality is concerned, they are great. I like the sound too, but ymmv, so try out a few if possible.

You can pry my AMT Dist Station from my cold dead hands...!
Bought it from the man himself last year at Frankfurt...hope to get some additions this year:D

Is there a way to disable the speaker simulator feature? Could it be used in my dual rectifier fx loop or only in front of an amp? I am trying to get a more soldano or Marshall tone from my mesa dual rectifier for a change of tones once in a while. I would think sending the pedals output as well as my rigs output to the soundguy or into pro tools would be a non phase way of thickening and diversifying the tone and also making a live rig idiot proof as far as the soundman is concerned. RID, what is next on your to buy list from AMT?

Does the distortion station and or distortion machine have the sounds from the california and astral tube etc?

It has the Tweed, British, and California, plus some extra settings for hot hottest, and mic placing, the simulator is on all the time, I only use it for recording...which it does rather well!
I am looking for the Fatal tube or the tubehall....:)

I just wonder if more options equals less tone as far as the california sound pedal goes. I would think that there is more going on in the pedal to get its sound than one switch although I could be wrong.

Just ordered an astral tube, distortion machine and a california sound. I will give some reviews soon as well as some soundclips
