An interesting take on a pedal board

Re: An interesting take on a pedal board

looks brilliant ! about time someone invents a great alternative to traditional peadalboards ….

Re: An interesting take on a pedal board

Looks like they get spendy fast. A board the size of my PT2 would be $180 without a case. I don't find the Pedaltrain stuff to be perfect but the features & value have made them my go-to board for about ten years.

I guess it depends. The PT2 is 24" x 12.5" and two of the Stompblox boards screwed together are 24" x 9.5", so it would be fairly close at $120 WITH a soft case. For me, I wouldn't find the 3" in depth a deal breaker; I usually go longer in length first.

As you said, the Pedaltrain stuff isn't perfect; for me either the PT-Mini was too small or the PT-JR was too big. This gives me options I didn't have prior.

This is what I've always thought. I only use a few pedals, but one is the Tech21 SansAmp, which is pretty big.

I like the idea of these modular boards, but it doesn't look like you can mount a Voodoo Labs power supply underneath. Am I correct about this?

If I am going to bother with any board, I want to be able to mount a power supply out of the way and out of sight.

Nope, you can easily mount a power supply underneath; you have to use the two back feet to raise it up to 3" in the back, but it's not a problem. Andy uses a PedalPower II+ under his board regularly.

I just opted for a daisy chain adaptor and a Rocktron DC OnTap.
