hi there

i bought recently an invader pickup and i installed it to my js1 jackson guitar in series wiring,in bridge of course, but it sounds awful.i have a 10w marshall.i don't know what the problem may be.i changed the wiring but the same awful sound.i changed it back to series wiring.there's no difference in the sound compared to the old pickup.can anyone help me?

Re: an invader problem?

If the old pickup sounded awful and so did the Invader, I would guess the problem would be with the 10w Marshall!!!! The amp makes ALOT more of a difference in tone than a pickup swap does!!!!!!

No offense but, save your money and invest in a better amp first!!!

Re: an invader problem?

The low-end MGs sound amazingly aweful, and the higher-end ones are just as bad...hmm...they're just horrible. Sorry you got ripped off!

Re: an invader problem?

Interesting, You bought a new pick-up and plugged it into a 10w marshall
and you don't understand why it just doesn't sound good eh? Hm, I wonder what the problem could be...... Oh wait, could it be the amp?
Nah, you think?

Re: an invader problem?

The JS1 actually sounded awesome through my cheapo Crate...so that says a lot about the marshall.
