Annoying buzzing

Hi, recently i got a MIM Telecaster. It plays fine but ever since the day I got it it made a screeching sound when i wasn't playing. Then whenever I touch the chrome nobs, the neck pickup, jack etc... the noise stops. But as soon as I take my finger off it starts up again. I took it to a guitar shop but the guy there said it was normal with single coils, but I've had other guitars and they've never made such a horrible sound as this.

I just want to know if there's anything I can do to fix it or what kind of a problem it is. I've asked around and a few people have said it's a grounding problem. Any ideas?

it should be a grounding problem, so its most likely 1 or 2 solder connections that came loose or were a bad connection from the start........should be an easy fix if its a bad ground

youd just have to look inside and find the faulty connections

There is a wire that goes from one of the pots or ground through the body and attaches to the bridge...make sure that is connected properly.

yep, when I roll down the tone the problem is still there but too a much lesser extent. I think it might be my neck pickup.

No I tapped it you can't hear it. The only thing that happens when it touch it is that the sound dissappears. Which is really annoying.

How do i know if a connection is loose enough that I need to solder it?
