I'm in the same boat as far as being born too late, just like you =0) I'm not a big fan of what's popular these days..not to say that there isn't anything good out there...just the populace at large hasn't heard of them...'Vandenplas? Pagan's mind? who're they??' lol..

thanks for the compliment by the way..took me awhile to get a decent direct recordable tone outta my amp..but I think this one came off pretty well...

what kinda stuff do you have?

all good things to those who wait..lol

someone I post back and forth with on another board put a bassline and then added a drum loop to it..put some sound effects in there as well..came out kinda cool =) so I'm going to write another couple riffs for it to flesh it out a bit and slap a lead on top of part of it...then he'll finish it up with bass and drum loops and I'll post the whole thing, sound like a plan?

Hi, sorry to burst your bubble, or anything like that. I really liked the recording, I just have one tiny suggestion. About your tone... it's quite good, but I think you should turn down the treble just a little... w/e, it's all preference...

not bursting my bubble...i was expecting more bad comments than good actually! it's direct recorded from my vetta and I still haven't conquered that yet..the 'fizz' gets cut down when it's in a mix with a bass though..I'm workni' on a cyber jam to make it a bit longer though..Il'l post that with a lead when we're done

the vibrato or the harmonics? the vibrato is all technique...the harmonics are a bit of tone, technique and pickups..or at least, that's the way I see it! I don't knwo if it's the way I dial in my tones or my guitar or the types of pups I chose, but I always tend to get a lynch type of pinch harmonic..maybe technique has alot more to do with it than It hought!

having a good amount of presense and mids without having the tone be overly farty helps too

thanks! I actually added a solo rythm to it last night..I'm gonna slap a lead on it, then a buddy of mine (well, cyber buddy) from LA is gonna put bass and drums to it then I'll post the completed version =)

hopefully the lead lives up to expectations! lol

I liked it. Could have done with a lead or something but I liked the recording. I'm a big noob when it comes to recording but how can you record 2 guitar parts? I don't have any recording so I don't know anything. I always thought that maybe you record one guitar part, then play it when you're recording the second. Is this correct? Or am I way off?

I do have a full version of the tune with a lead and all..just tryin' to colaborate with someone to put bass and drums with it, then I'll post the whole thing =)

as far as doin' two guitar parts..it's just two separate tracks..each one panned almost hard left, and the other hard right...I record one part, then arm the second track and hit record on cakewalk again....it'll play the one track I already recorded while simultaneously recording the second track as I play =)
