Re: Another EVH guitar vid...

I've see that guitar in person, Tommy's got it on display at TMZ.

It was really one of EVH's backups- the best he kept for himself. Still, Tommy's a huge fan so it's impressive the lengths we went to get it

Re: Another EVH guitar vid...

cant ck the vid here at work, but will later. Is Tommy pretty cool in person? Seems like he would be cool as he is an 80s metal nut like myself. I bought a guit from them and had a good experience. This thread reminds me of when I played one of those limited $25k frankie replicas they came out with a few years back.. the action was so low I was worthless on it..

Boy, that thing has THE sound. And luckily, he's playing it the same way so you can hear it clearly.

Now let's dissect that pickup! LOL

Tommy's just a normal guy in person, I've been going to his music store for many years, over 15 years, since he always has the finest gear in Long Island if not NY, second only to a few boutique places in NYC. Not only is his he cool, his entire staff has always been as well, and I can't say enough good things about their current guitar tech Pete. Tommy's always been a huge fan of 80's guitars, and while most dealers gave up on the 80's shredder guitars like BC Rich, Charvel and Jackson, he kept them going.

I believe the pickup is a JB
