Another Hybrid Question (sort of)

Been reading the buzz about the '59/CC hybrid. I'm seeking opinions about an idea I had last night in order to simulate one without ripping apart 2 pickups.

The idea is this: Use a CC and place a large value resistor in parallel with one of the coils to bring its resistance close to the value of the '59. True, it willl not have 100% of the sound of the hybrid due to the wire used and winding technique, but I'm guessing it will be close. What do you think?

Huh? You are viewing resistance as just a measurement... a resistor is nothing like a length of pickup coil wire although they can have the same resistance value...

Won't be the same...CC and 59 use different coil wire...it'll just be a lower output CC
