Another "Merry Christmas To Me" Thread!

A few of you have heard of my plight of finding an amp for a college sized dorm that I could still play out on with a college student sized budget. Last anyone heard, I do believe I was looking at some stuff from the Peavey Transtube series, and the best I'd been able to do for my price range was a 40 watt 110.

Well, that all changed when I went into my favorite mom and pop shop yesterday.

Bam. out the door 2 hours later with a used Fender Princeton 65 112 for $200 even. I wasn't planning on buying anything any time soon but as sick as I felt for shelling out the cash early, I know I really would've felt dumb for letting that slip between my fingers. The thing fits the bill for everything I'd been looking for and more.

So sweet. problem solved, and I'm one friggin' happy camper. I guess it wasn't too big a deal right? I mean, good deal, all christmas shopping was done anyway, and I've been feeling kind of down so in all reality I should be indulging myself in something, right? Merry Christmas to me.

that's an awesome story, And a very awesome amp.
Great find, I'm a college guy myself, and I live for finding great deals at the local guitar shop, I hope someday I can be as fortunate as you, I need a new tube amp.

Indeed, Merry Christmas to you (and everyone else for that matter).

Sounds like a good deal, any chance of some clips?
