I own an Ibanez rg350dxz, and i have previously installed an SH-2 jazz into the neck and an SH-4 Jb into the bridge, which are a fantastic combination. The guitar has HSH configuration, so i still have the factory single coil sitting inbetween the two (infinity 3, i believe). When switching from neck to mid, or bridge to neck, there is a noticeable difference in quality. So i was considering having a cool rails installed in the middle so that all 3 pickups are of a reasonable quality. Just wanted to know if you guys, with a great deal more knowledge than me, thinks that this is a good choice of pickup. i just want something that is warm, has good sustain, can handle distortion but doesn't sound gritty on the cleans, and can give a bit of that single coil "twang" (am i picky or what?). Are there any others that would be better suited? would this one clash with the other two pickups (or something like that)?
I played mostly classic rock, blues and some hard rock from time to time. To be more artist specific, i play Hendrix, clapton, SRV, Knopfler, Gilmour and Randy Rhoads.
