Another speaker comparison

I just threw this together.

Get some headphones out..

In this example I started with the DV77s and they are so bright I unswitched the brightness button on the ENGL.

MY 2 cents for this example:
The Manowars sounded honky for the first time ever...
I loved the T-75'S the most, and the DV77s second.
I liked the swamp things over the K100s ...never happened before to me.

It's so interesting to me, how different amps and guitars sound better or worse in different combinations.

Yeah, I'm digging the 75 the best as well. But the Swamp Thang isn't too shabby either in this vid.

Honestly, the one that I wasn't feeling at all was the Manowar. I've not liked it in clips before either, but was the Manowar by any chance mic'ed in the straight half of the cab? My Marshall cab's speakers on the bottom always sounded like that mic'ed up. I always thought it had to do with the baffle being parallel to the back. Standing waves, comb filtering, phase cancellation or something going on, because that's what it sounds like. It sounds phasey.

But the tones were overall killer, man. What pickup do you have in that Explorer? Looks like passives?

Agreed, the Manowar was in the bottom of an A cab. You may be right, also it may just not jive with the ENGL the way it was adjusted. I've never heard it sound that poor before.

Maybe later today I'll run them all through the Marshall and see if it's similarly off.

Explorer is wearing a TB6

I actually sprayed the 2 black cabinets inside with rubber undercoating to seal and tighten them up.
In my head it worked enough to do it again.
I am really pleased with the sounds from those cabinets.

I figured it out!
When I record with the Dolby On app, and I go to save the file I always need to make sure I turn the automatic noise cancelling off.... And on the Manowar sample I forgot to do that.... With most samples it doesn't make any difference, but with my ENGL, if I forget...it sounds like it's phased or under water.!

I redid another video today... I may pull that video down.
