Another Twin Tube Classic Question

For those who have tried the SFX-03, do the subminiature tubes act like the full size tubes as far as being able to push them with booster pedals or hot pickups? Thanks.

Yes.

The tubes used in the SFX-03 actually sound a good bit like 12AX7's but if you use a super hot pickup they get driven harder just like the front end of an amp and if you put a booster (like the pickup booster) in front of the SFX-03n it will give you more gain...not like you need it!

My answer is yes. It will react just like the front end of a tube amp will. I'm pushing mine right now with a tubescreamer and also an Arion MTE-1. Both drive the tubes nicely indeed.
