Antiquities for Strat confusion.

I'm confused by the antiquities for strat. Which ones are for which position?

Is the Texas Hot custom bridge ONLY for the bridge?

Does "surfer" mean it's ONLY for the neck?

I know reverse wound obviously means it's for the middle position, but do they make it for the others to?

Re: Antiquities for Strat confusion.

The Texas Hot Custom is intended for use in the bridge/treble position. There is no law forbidding its use in other positions. On the other hand, a beefed up neck position pickup will overpower a regular centre position pickup.

Surfer is just a product name.

The one problem that could arise from combining Antiquity (1) and Antiquity II pickups is the magnetic polarity and coil winding direction. These factors will affect the phase relationship between adjacent single coil pickups.

For example, one of my Strats has Twangbanger (b), Five-Two (c) and Five-Two RPRW (n) pickups - in that order - to keep the phase relationships right.
