Antiquity/Custom Hybrid - thoughts

I don't think I've ever read about combining an Antiquity with another pickup before; has it ever been attempted or is it just not comparable with other SD pickups?

Comparing the Antiquity to the 59': Aside from differences in approach, aren't they more or less made from the same materials, have the same 42awg gauge wire and have the same spacing?

Seems to me that an Antiquity would suit better as half of a Hybrid - they're even wound hotter from 8.4k to 9k

Oh, and Happy Labor Day everyone!

Guessing most people don't pay a higher price for a specialty pickup to rip it apart to mate with a production model. Additionally, there are different materials (bobbins) and approaches to building each. Reason would dictate that it would sound better, but so would spending less by just buying a single pickup from the custom shop, asking for this hybrid to be made (less cost than buying both). You'd have the warrant and the exchange option.
