Antiquity humbucker DC unusually hot

Hi everyone.

I have an Antiquity bridge humbucker.

The tag says 8,59k.

I measured it twice, on different days, and the readings were in the 9.6k range.

I also measured an Antiquity neck to make sure that it was not the temperature that caused the high readings (The neck reading was consistent with the tag).

Is there something wrong?

How does it sound? I think the nature of the Antiquity is that there is a little variation, but I am not sure there is anything wrong, especially if you think it sounds good. It is just extra special. If you bought it new, and live in the US, you can use the 21 Day Exchange. If you don't live in the US, check with your dealer and see if they offer a return policy.
Actually, a hotter Antiquity, even slightly, might be a cool idea.

I've noticed my humbuckers that are in my stash measuring higher DCR than they did a few months ago.

I attributed it 90 degree summer days.

But I have an old 59b that six months ago measured 7.9K and now measures 8.5K!

I measured them all because I was putting together a set for a 2007 PRS SE I acquired.

They all measure much higher than they did 6 months ago in the middle of the winter.

Measure at night and at room temp (68* F). They'll be closer to what the tag states.

FWIW, I received 2 sets of pickups that are reading higher than described due to the hotter room temp. My *humidity gauge is reading 86.4* F in my room. I'm seeing about .6-.8K difference. I'll probably check them again later tonight.
