Antiquity Humbucker help

i got 2000 LP stand with two antiquity humbuckers

I find that the neck pick-up will not drive my 70's Mutron III but the bridge pick-up does .... i have never had this problem with real PAF's or patten # pick-ups in the past ......

is this because of the degaussing of the magnets or maybe the 300K pots ......

where would you start first ..... rip out the Gibson wiring? .... change the neck pick-up? ........ I did switch the wiring to match my older guitars as far as where the cap meets the volume pot (that style doesnt lose treble as the volume knob is rolled down for some reason)

I like the tone over-all ... it seems somewhat close to the real deal ....

thoughts?
thanks for you help in advance!

Re: Antiquity Humbucker help

welcome to the forum!

the neck pup wont drive the mutron? weird. is it an output issue or ?

Re: Antiquity Humbucker help

think it is output problem ..... all the old pick-ups drive it in both neck or bridge .....

the ohmage is less than any of my other neck pick-ups (by 300-800) but the volume level sounds on par with all of them

I have raised the pick-up all the way with no luck ... and i hate to mess with the sweet spot on the screw poles ...

i have had no problem with any other effects (echoplex, dist+,small stone, ect) .....

I hate to have to use a clean boost in that loop ...I dont need more stuff to haul around ....

Re: Antiquity Humbucker help

a 500k pot for volume and tone in the neck could help, the 300k's in the Bridge are great

Re: Antiquity Humbucker help

had thought of that since all the other PU's have 500K pots

does a higher ohmage pot give more output with the volume all the way up?

I know that a lower ohmage pot reduces alittle treble ....

help?
