Antiquity Neck in Middle Position on a Tele...

Hi, all.

I recently bought a Antiquity Neck Humbucker to fit on my 2008 MIM Tele but having just got back from a couple of weeks in the studio I can't bear to lose the original Tele neck P/U ;-)...

So, I was wondering if anybody had tried fitting the Ant in the middle position (soundwise)? I'm using a Fender Blues Deluxe...

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers, Phil.

A humbucker in the middle will mess up the magnetic field of the other pickups. To what extend remains to be seen, but it could be a factor.

Yeah, I see what you mean... the other factor I was wary of as well was it'd be a bit cramped (I play with my fingers: no pick).

The other option I have is to put it in the neck position of my Robert Cray Strat (after much playing & trying with it, I'm kind of disappointed with P/U's on the Cray).

Would you forsee the same magnetic problems going with that?

Thanks...

An Antiquity STRAT pickup maybe, but a humbucker in there will just be too "much". You need another Tele.
